US actor Sean Penn is in Ukraine despite the Russian invasion. In Kiev he is shooting a documentary about the invasion.
The American actor Sean Penn (61) is currently in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The portal “TMZ” published pictures of Pennshowing him on Thursday after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He is working there on a documentary that is supposed to tell the “truth about what happened”.
The report goes on to say that the Ukrainian government has confirmed this. The Office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (44) commented that Penn shows “courage and honesty”. He attended a press conference held by government officials. He spoke to journalists and military officials to learn more about Ukraine’s defense strategy.
Sean Penn spoke to the military back in November
He had already traveled to Ukraine in November and had already spoken to the military to work on the planned documentary. On February 24, Russian forces launched a broad-based attack on Ukraine.
