Season 16 of Grey's Anatomy ends

The drama signed ABC had therefore finished 21 episodes of its current season before stopping production recently. So, two new episodes will be broadcast in the coming weeks. To know that season 16 was originally scheduled to have 25 episodes. So these are 4 episodes that fans of the series will never have the pleasure of watching. Fortunately, we can still count on the rest of the series which has already been renewed for season 17. Phew!

Regarding the details, the ABC announcement tells us that Grey's Anatomy suspended production on March 12 due to the spread of the coronavirus. Showrunner Krista Vernoff and executive producers Debbie Allen and James D. Parriott explained the decision in a letter to the actors and the film crew. "We are now going home for at least two weeks and we are waiting to see how the coronavirus situation evolves", said the note, obtained by E! News. "This decision was made to ensure the health and safety of all the players and the team as well as the safety of our loved ones outside of work, and it was taken in accordance with the suggestion of Mayor Garcetti not to not meet in groups of more than 50 people. "

The shortened season of Grey's Anatomy comes at a time when the series is undergoing major changes.
