It’s official, after six years of absence, Secret Story will soon make his return on a TF1 group channel. Sunday January 7, 2024, in the columns of The Sunday Tribune, Ari Aprikian, the group’s deputy general director of content, made some revelations concerning the takeover of France’s most famous house of secrets. Asked about the date of the broadcast of the reality TV, he was simply able to assure that it would arrive on screens during the first half of 2024. On the other hand, concerning the chain, the mystery remains complete. “We haven’t decided on which channel yet”, did he declare. So, Secret Story could be broadcast on TF1, TFX or even NT1. But the production has agreed on the host who will be in charge of the program. “On the other hand, I can announce that the program will be hosted by Christophe Beaugrand”, he said. As a reminder, the presenter had already hosted the show on NT1 between 2015 and 2017. “He is as comfortable in the realm of information as in hosting major popular entertainments. This new season of Secret Story will return to the fundamentals of the game, with intrigue, investigation and a lot of humor. And above all, we want it to be good-natured”added Ari Aprikian.

The TF1 morning showalongside Bruce Toussaint, said he was very happy to take over the helm of this cult show. “If you knew how happy I am to be back in charge of Secret Story ! The big return of the cult show (and La Voix) is very soon and you’re not ready”, declared Christophe Beaugrand on his Instagram account, a few hours after TF1’s announcement. If some fans of the program hoped to find the historic host of Secret Story, namely Benjamin Castaldi, this will therefore not be the case. On October 29, 2023, on his social networks, he had already extinguished the hopes of his subscribers. “Unfortunately, I must announce that the presentation of the show will not be entrusted to me. Although this may be disappointing, I prefer to move on without bitterness. It’s life and the opportunities that present themselves to us sometimes evolve unexpectedly”he announced.
