Ségolène Royal says she is “censored” by BFMTV. The former minister was removed from the air because of her controversial remarks on war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine. According to Marc-Olivier Fogiel, general manager of the channel, Ségolène Royal had “undertaken” to return to the channel to explain herself. But she did not, favoring LCI.
Ségolène Royal regrets having been ousted from BFMTV. The former minister was removed from the air because of her controversial remarks on war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine. She had in particular questioned the reality of “bombarded motherhood” in southeastern Ukraine in March.

And, she had also questioned the Boutcha massacre or “the story of child rape for seven hours under the eyes of the parents”. “It’s monstrous to go out and spread stuff like that just to disrupt the peace process.”she said.

For Ségolène Royal, the decision taken by Marc-Olivier Fogiel is a matter of “weird authoritarianism” which contravenes freedom of expression. “So I am censored from BFMTV for having told forbidden truths and, an even more serious crime, for having accepted another television channel to talk about it”, judged the former candidate for the presidential election, before thanking her supporters .
