Select covers now as NFTs

Who does not know her? Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews, responsible for research and archives: probably the world’s most famous trio of investigators. Started as a series of books, then gained cult status, especially as a series of radio plays, the three ??? to date the crime rate in Rocky Beach. Whether cassette, record or book cover: Since the beginning of the 70s, the never-aging detectives have been accompanied by the iconic cover design of the late illustrator Aiga Rasch – now also on Web3, as NFTs.

Selected covers as NFTs

Together with Sony Music, the Berlin startup brings twelve x twelve selected reinterpretations of the legendary motifs in two special collections. To this end, the NFT boutique, which has already hoisted Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and gangster rapper Haftzettel into the crypto space, has brought six up-and-coming artists on board. The start is today, September 7th, on the 12th the second wave will follow with three more motifs.

“Not just that The three ??? have always been digital – in addition to the book series, the radio play is considered the most successful in the world, as are the legendary cover artworks of the
renowned artist Aiga Rasch have done their part,” enthuses twelve x twelve CEO Jan Denecke to BTC-ECHO. “The fact that we are now allowed to have these reinterpreted by six up-and-coming crypto artists is something very special”.

For the artist Rabea Senftenberg, the project was also an immersion in childhood memories: “I’m with the three ??? grew up, loved her and still enjoy listening to her paint”. When redesigning, she only roughly followed the template: “I had Aiga Rasch in the back of my mind and in my heart, but I gave free rein to my artistic freedom”.
