Pinzgau hoteliers in Maria Alm fell victim to brazen fraudsters. The perpetrators wanted to help the hotel secure trademark rights and cashed in. But in vain for the hoteliers.
Unknown perpetrators tricked a hotel in Maria Alm into paying for alleged trademark registrations. Since the hotel had actually made legally valid entries beforehand, no suspicion was raised for the time being. The hotel has paid the perpetrators a total of more than 11,000 euros since September 2022, but the hoteliers did not receive protected trademark rights in return. Police investigations are ongoing.
