LEGO, always at the forefront of innovation, is preparing to launch a new wave of creations in 2024, sparking growing interest among fans of these famous little bricks. This year is proving to be particularly captivating, with the introduction of very ambitious sets.
LEGO has long enchanted its fans with collections inspired by the most iconic universes of popular culture, including Harry Potter, Star Wars and Marvel. For 2024, the focus seems to be on the wizarding world, with a series of new features that promise to delight fans. Seven sets are planned, enriching the range already known for the first half of the year. These new products, specially designed for summer, should breathe a breath of fresh air into the sets of the young wizard with glasses.
Durmstrang Boat & Beauxbatons Coach (76440)
For the first time, LEGO is offering a replica of the famous Durmstrang boat, accompanied by Beauxbatons’ carriage. This set, comprising 1229 pieces, would likely include the likes of Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum and perhaps a new Igor Karkaroff. It will be priced at 139.99 euros. We can see all of these vehicles during the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Ollivander’s Wands & Madam Malkin’s Robes Shop (76439)
This set will include the first LEGO version of Madam Malkin’s dress shop, as well as Ollivander’s wand shop. With 744 pieces, it will continue the series of Diagon Alley sets and will include 6 minifigures, including Garrick Ollivander and Madam Malkin. The price will be 89.99 euros from June 1, 2024.
Hogwarts: The Great Hall (76435), a new LEGO version
A new version of the Great Hall of Hogwarts, with 1732 rooms, will succeed that of 2018. Larger and more detailed, its price will rise to 219.99 euros. The included figures are yet to be confirmed. But in the first version we were allowed 10 figurines: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Susan Bones, Professor McGonagall, Professor Quirrell with the double face of Lord Voldemort, Hagrid, Albus Dumbledore, Nick Quasi Headless, the Basilisk and Fawkes creatures, and the Hedwig and Scabbers figurines… So we have a good idea of the possibilities.
Forbidden Forest: Aragog (76434)
Continuing the series of Forbidden Forest sets, this set will feature the Acromantula Aragog. Made up of 195 pieces, it will probably be similar to the Aragog’s Lair set from 2018 and will cost 14.99 euros. Obviously, it is not recommended for arachnophobes, because it promises to be disgusting.
Mandrake to Build in LEGO (76433)
This summer, a LEGO Mandrake, built from 579 pieces, will also appear. It will be available for 59.99 euros. In the Harry Potter universe, the mandrake is a magical plant that appears in several books and films. It is known for its distinctive appearance: it has green leaves, roots shaped like a miniature human creature, and emits a deafening scream when plucked from the ground.
Hogwarts: Potions Class (76431)
The second Hogwarts modular set to be released this summer will be the Potions Classroom. Made up of 397 pieces, this set will be priced at 37.99 euros. Obviously, we should find Snape as a teacher as well as a certain number of students. But which ones?
Buckbeak (76427)
Finally, a set representing Buck, Hagrid’s hippogriff, composed of 723 pieces, will also be available for 59.99 euros.
