A 20-year-old was attacked and bitten by his own pit bull on Sunday afternoon in Nassereith, Tyrol (Imst district). The local suffered serious injuries and had to be hospitalized.
After the 20-year-old entered his fenced-in garden around 4 p.m., he was suddenly attacked by his three-year-old pit bull mixed breed. “The dog owner suffered several bite wounds on his arms and legs,” said the police.
Eyewitnesses pulled dog back
Witnesses to the incident were finally able to pull the four-legged friend back and put a muzzle and a leash on him. The 20-year-old was admitted to the Zams hospital after first aid by the alarmed ambulance.

According to the police, the young Tyrolean has owned the dog for around a month. This was brokered by an animal welfare organization and probably comes from Romania.
