Several skiing accidents – Bad Kleinkirchheim: Helicopters in constant use

On Monday it was turbulent in the Bad Kleinkirchheim ski area – the rescue helicopter had to fly out three times…

At 11:45 a.m., a 22-year-old skier from Lower Austria fell on the Brunnach descent. He was still able to leave on his own, but after receiving first medical aid he had to be taken to Villach Regional Hospital by the Alpin 1 emergency doctor helicopter. Just half an hour later, a 21-year-old snowboarder from Upper Austria fell. She suffered a severe cut from the edge of her board, which was bleeding heavily, and she too had to be taken to the Villach Regional Hospital by rescue helicopter. Around 1 p.m., a 53-year-old German fell on the Brunnach descent. He also had to be flown to the LKH in Villach with the Alpin 1 emergency doctor helicopter with serious injuries.
