Severance: Christopher Walken joins the new Apple series

The plot of "Severance" revolves around the employees of a company called Lumen Industries, whose goal is to take the work-life balance to the next level. Walken takes on a role called Burt. Burt is the company's head of optics and design. Adam Scott will play the character Mark, who tries to hide his dark past from his boss (Patricia Arquette). John Turturro, meanwhile, is said to play Irving, a long-time reliable employee.

Production is scheduled to start in November. The idea for the series comes from Dan Erickson, the showrunner is Mark Friedman. Ben Stiller (54) is involved as a producer and also directs. The cast also includes Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Britt Lower and Zach Cherry. A release date has not yet been set.
