Kim Cattrall will not appear on “And Just Like That …”. Her former “SATC” co-star Chris Noth is now talking about her exit.

The long wait is over on December 9th: The “Sex and the City” spin-off “And Just Like That …” starts on Sky Comedy and Sky Ticket. Not all series stars return for it – Kim Cattrall (65) will not slip back into the role of Samantha Jones. Allegedly, a quarrel with leading actress Sarah Jessica Parker (56, Carrie) should be the reason for her absence. Chris Noth (67, Mr. Big) describes the situation in an interview with “The Guardian” now as “sad and uncomfortable”.

Chris Noth: “I just wish that none of this had ever happened”

When asked about the Parker and Cattrall rumors, Noth said he had “no idea what [Cattrall] thinks or what her feelings are “. He likes her and her performance on the series was” fabulous. “However, he couldn’t explain what her reasons for leaving were.” I just wish that none of that was ever happened because it was sad and uncomfortable, “admits Noth.

The 67-year-old also makes it clear that he can’t stand it when people talk badly about Sarah Jessica Parker. “I have the feeling that I want to protect her and I wasn’t happy about it. That’s all I will say about it,” says Noth, adding that the actor is good friends with the 56-year-old. Cattrall’s “descriptions” “don’t even come close” to Parker’s real person, according to Noth.

Beware of spoilers: This is how Samantha is built into the story

Kim Cattrall was unavailable for “And Just Like That …”. As the “Daily Mail” claims to have found out, her character Samantha should still be part of the story. As in real life between Parker and Cattrall, an argument between Carrie and Samantha should also have occurred in the series. As a consequence, Samantha moved from New York to London.

An insider also reported to the tabloid that the creators of the series were ready for a comeback for Cattrall. “Carrie is the one who fell out with Samantha and at the end of ‘And Just Like That …’ we see Carrie making her an offer of peace and trying to rekindle the friendship,” claims the source.
