In parallel with the release of early access for Hades 2, the studio Supergiant Games shared the original soundtrack of the video game on YouTube.
The wait will still be long before enjoying the full version of Hades 2. In a progress update shared on May 6, the Supergiant Games studio made it clear that the development of its future video game will not be completed before 2025. The anticipated version, released on May 6, must in fact persist until the end of the year.
Until then, you will have plenty of time to explore early access from top to bottom – and if you don’t want to spoil anything, you always have the option of falling back on the video game’s soundtrack. This was published on YouTube at the same time as Supergiant Games announced the availability ofHades 2 in early access.
As in the time of the first Hades, it was composer Darren Korb (who has a long history of collaboration with the studio, since 2011 and the first Bastion game) who was responsible for putting Mélinoé’s adventures to music. She is the heroine of the game, and incidentally the sister of Zagreus – he was the previous protagonist.
If you start listening, know that the soundtrack has thirty tracks. The musical connection with the previous opus should jump out at you – after all, we remain in the same universe. But you will also notice that Darren Korb, who received one nomination for his work at the Game Awards and two at the BAFTA Games Awards, has also managed to renew himself.
Allow two hours of listening, even if this duration will increase sooner or later: “ other tracks will be added as development progresses », informed the studio, which advises playing first before launching the playlist. Thus, the public will be able to bring out memories and scenes while listening.
There may be another reason not to rush through the disc: all the songs obviously have a title that refers to the game – we haven’t seen any significant spoilers, but we prefer to point this out to you first. We don’t know if Darren Korb will walk away with a trophy this time, but there’s a good chance that the studio will stand out once again.
