The Salzburg football lower house is slowly coming out of the Corona break. The first competitive games will take place in a month on July 10th with the preliminary round in the SFV-Landescup. The first main round on July 17th was drawn on Tuesday evening and brought some hot derbies. And: The Taboga comeback in the SK Strobl dress increases at SK Oberndorf.
The draw brought Salzburg League demolition champion Eugendorf to the start of the Landescup on July 17th, a derby at the neighbor from the 2nd Landesliga Nord, Köstendorf. In Lungau there is a derby between St. Michael and Tamsweg. And in Pongau, for example, Altenmarkt has to go to Hüttschlag.
Special attention is also paid to the game Oberndorf against Strobl. In all likelihood, the former betting sinner Dominique Taboga will celebrate his comeback wearing the SK Strobl dress. The 38-year-old had played his last competitive game so far in November 2013 at the then Bundesliga club SV Grödig against Rapid. Then he was sentenced as one of the main suspects in the betting scandal trial to three years of partial imprisonment and initially suspended for life. However, this ban has been lifted. Now he lives with his new partner at Lake Wolfgang and is eager to return to the football field. He’s been working on the comeback for months.
