Ex-NBA star involved in street shooting

According to US media reports, six-time NBA all-star Shawn Kemp has been arrested in connection with a shooting. According to the police, there was apparently an argument between the occupants of two vehicles, during which shots were fired.
Former NBA superstar Shawn Kemp is in legal trouble. The 53-year-old was arrested in Washington state and taken to prison. He is accused of firing a gun in public. Police in Tacoma, Washington, said two people got into an argument near two vehicles in a supermarket parking lot on Wednesday afternoon. Shots were then fired. A video circulating on social media is said to show a suspected shot by Kemp.
According to police reports, one of the people fled in a car. The investigation is ongoing and the weapon has been secured. According to authorities, there were no injuries. Four hours after the incident, Kemp was taken to a Pierce County jail. The prosecution alleges a “drive-by-shooting” offense. According to US media reports, Kemp is still in prison.
Kemp keeps fighting with himself
Kemp joined the NBA in 1989 and was a big hit in the league, especially in the 1990s. With the Seattle SuperSonics, the over-athlete repeatedly showed crashing dunks. In 1996 he played with his SuperSonics in the NBA finals against the Chicago Bulls around Michael Jordan (2:4). In 1994 he became world champion with the US team.
In 2003 he ended his career with the Orlando Magic. Kemp also played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2008 he gave a short interlude at the Italian club Premiata Montegranaro. The power forward averaged 14.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his career. The “Reign Man” was selected to the NBA All-Star team six times.
During his NBA career, Kemp repeatedly struggled with personal problems and being overweight. Drug escapades became public and he was suspended from the league several times. In 2005 he was arrested for drug possession. As of 2020, he has a cannabis shop in Seattle. In recent years he has campaigned for the town to have an NBA team again. In 2008, the SuperSonics relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City, where they have since played as the Oklahoma City Thunder.
