Two months before its release in our theaters, “Shazam! The Rage of the Gods” remembers our good memories with a new trailer that promises a more epic show. And more fun.
For God Sake ! Or goddesses. In the plural. After Doctor Sivanna (Mark Strong), Shazam will be opposed to much older enemies in the rest of his adventures: Hespera (Helen Mirren) and Kalypso (Lucy Liu), deities to which will be added the character played by Rachel Zegler, who seems torn between the two camps, even if we see it quite little in this new trailer.
While the DC cinema universe has been experiencing some turmoil since its takeover by James Gunn and Peter Safran, and the already known consequences (cancellation of Wonder Woman 3, end of Henry Cavill’s term as Superman, etc.), Shazam! The Rage of the Gods will be released in theaters on March 29. And Zachary Levi, who is back in the red superhero outfit, has already acknowledged that this could be his last adventure with it, but that he was at peace with this eventuality.
Four years after the good surprise of the first opus, which was inspired by several family comedies of the 80s (Big in the lead) and had attracted a lot of sympathy thanks to its light tone, the stakes will be a little higher in two months . It will be a question here of saving his family, kidnapped by the wicked eager to recover the powers of each, but also to face… a dragon.
