Shazam adds a string to his bow. The pioneering application in music recognition will now be able to identify music played in headphones. It will therefore be possible to find the name of a melody heard on Instagram or TikTok without removing your headphones.
Recognize songs playing in headphones
This news will work with all headphones, Bluetooth or not, regardless of brand. It will be available on all applications installed on the smartphone. Important detail, Shazam will always be able to identify songs played outside of the headphones, without the user needing to switch between the two features.
This advancement is not reserved for iOS users, as one might have feared. It will thus be possible to identify the music broadcast in the earphones (or headphones) on both Android smartphones and iPhones. Ultimately, Shazam could enjoy a boost in popularity among Android device owners thanks to this new feature.
