Thursday November 16, Marie-Caroline Cail, discovered by viewers in the program “Large Families”, made a shocking revelation on Instagram by announcing that she could no longer carry children.
Very sad news. During the seventh season of the hit TF1 show Large families: life in XXLviewers took a liking to the Cails, a small tribe made up of Marie-Caroline, Guillaume and their six blond heads : Théophile (14 years), Édouard (11 years), Gaspard (9 years), Ernest (4 years), France (3 years) and Basile (1 year). If the clan left the small screen last May, the mother continues to share the daily lives of her family through her Instagram account. Thursday, November 16, she therefore agreed to answer certain questions from her admirers about her and revealed that she had mourned the possibility of become a mother for the seventh time.
At the question “Another child planned?”, Marie-Caroline Cail thus revealed her new inability to get pregnant : “Following my accident and the birth of our last child, my health no longer allowed me to do so.” As a reminder, the one who works in training for the professions of medical assistant and dental secretary almost lost his life the day she gave birth to her little Basil. In an interview with the podcast Milk&Mammalast October, she looked in detail at this traumatic episode: “I gave him my life, I almost lost mine too. I explain, Basile is placed on top of me and at that moment, my vision becomes blurred, I have stars in my eyes, my chest begins to compress very strongly. I had time to say: ‘I’m going to die, I’m going to die!‘”And to continue his chilling story: “A few minutes after giving birth, I had a massive pulmonary embolism. […] I had several cardiac arrests. It’s not genetic, because we’ve explored a little where it could come from.”

Marie-Caroline Cail put a lot of time to recover from this accident : “It put me in a coma for several days.” An episode which also deeply marked his partner Guillaume, as he explained in the said podcast: “The pain of what was happening was so unbearable… I remember going down to the hospital grounds, I needed to scream, I was crying, I couldn’t hold anything back. […] I was incapable of imagining my life without Marie-Caroline, incapable.“The mother can no longer consider today risk another pregnancy : “The question no longer arises since my accident. And then, I said it was the last one. But hey, I’ve been saying that since the second one, so…”And to conclude firmly: “I will no longer put my life in danger. I got it back and I’m keeping it.”
