she reveals the theme of her first column

On social networks, Ségolène Royal revealed the subject of her first intervention on C8 in “Touche pas à mon poste”. A painful theme…

It’s the big night for Ségolène Royal. The former leader of the Socialist Party, candidate for the presidential election and Minister of the Environment arrives on C8 alongside Cyril Hanouna. The politician joins the “Baba gang”, or more precisely the show PAF with Bababroadcast before Do not touch My TV. This Thursday, September 14, she will make her first intervention and reveal the subject.

Ségolène Royal will talk about sexual violence on C8

It is from 7:40 p.m. to 8 p.m. that Ségolène Royal will speak in PAF. She meets viewers in a post on social networks: “So that fear changes sides: how to give the courage to speak to children and teenagers who are victims of sexual assault by people known to them (one in 10 children, girls and boys, including 80% in the direct or extended family)”.

She says she has worked a lot with associations and the legal community on the subject, and hopes to be able to explain “how to free speech, how to deter and prevent, how predators operate, so that those who watch us can speak even years later”. The objective of addressing such a question is therefore also prevention, and knowing be attentive to the signals of a young victim and then help them break the silence “using the right words”.

She talks about the good examples she has seen in Canada, and salutes the courage of Emmanuel Béart who recently revealed having been a victim of incest. She will talk about it in a documentary broadcast soon. According to Ségolène Royal, talking about it even 45 years after the crime she suffered as a child “will help other adults free themselves from their terrible secret. Because ‘words deliver, they are first aid”. She hopes with this column to contribute to this speaking out and thanks Cyril Hanouna for accepting his choice of subject “right away”.
