She wanted separation – life companion strangled to the point of unconsciousness


Because she wanted to separate from him, a 40-year-old man choked his 42-year-old girlfriend to unconsciousness in an apartment in the Favoriten district of Vienna on Saturday night. He then fled the apartment, but was arrested a little later.

The woman told the police that she announced to the 40-year-old in her apartment on Friday evening that she wanted to end the relationship with him. The Macedonian then freaked out, knocked the woman to the ground and choked.

The 42-year-old lost consciousness. When she came to, she fled to the balcony and alerted the police.

Arrested in the Gänserndorf district
The 40-year-old had fled the apartment in the meantime. An immediate search in the vicinity of the crime scene was initially unsuccessful. An arrest order was then issued. At around 2 a.m., the Macedonian was arrested in his apartment in the Gänserndorf district.

The 42-year-old suffered head injuries from the attack. She had to be treated in the hospital. A ban on entering and approaching the man was pronounced against the man.
