Traffic on the roads is likely to remain high throughout the summer. Traffic jams in front of the two portals of the Gotthard tunnel are “practically certain” by the end of August, according to the traffic forecast from the Viasuisse traffic service.
Basically, the traffic development since the flattening of the corona pandemic is more difficult to predict, said Barbara Roelli from Viasuisse: “But we definitely expect intensive traffic for the summer.”
