She was supposed to be on the “DSDS” jury next to Dieter Bohlen and Pietro Lombardi, but Shirin David probably turned down the job.

The rumor mill has been bubbling for days, now it has been decided: Shirin David (27) will allegedly not sit next to Dieter Bohlen (68) and Pietro Lombardi (30) in the anniversary season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported that the rapper was a preferred candidate for the job on the jury. Well, David’s management confirmed by the newspaperthat the 27-year-old RTL had rejected.

The rapper turned down the offer, although the broadcaster allegedly considered paying her a record fee, the report goes on to say. Reasons why David did not want to take the job are not given.

David would have had six million followers with him

David, who has more than six million followers on Instagram alone, would have guaranteed RTL a high audience rating by participating. It wouldn’t have been her first time on the show either: the rapper was on the “DSDS” jury in 2017.

As the “Bild” newspaper also reported, the singer Leonie Burger (25), known as Leony, was as good as set for a jury job. Will David’s alleged place be occupied at all?

In the past season, the jury consisted of only three celebrities: Florian Silbereisen (41), Ilse DeLange (45) and Toby Gad (54). The anniversary season, in which Lombardi and Bohlen make their comeback as jurors, will be the 20th edition of the casting show – and officially the last.
