While Seven to Eight broadcast a report on family reality TV shows, Internet users were shocked to discover a sequence, during which parents film their son’s funeral for the purposes of their program.
This is called hiding nothing. For several years, television has been offering many reality TV shows, a concept developed in Anglo-Saxon countries, particularly the United States and Great Britain. If the concepts of the programs vary, from game shows to the reality TV show to find love, those which in recent years have found their audience are none other than family shows, such as keeping up with the Kardashians. However, if viewers are hungry for curiosity about the daily lives of these families, they have their limits. Especially when it comes to funerals.
In a report broadcast on seven to eight, Sunday, February 6, viewers have indeed discovered the funeral images, shot for the needs of a reality show. It was about American parents, who for their program decided to immortalize the funeral of their 13-year-old teenage son. And that was enough to shock. “Gangs of crazy all these parents who film their children to expose them to unacceptable limits”, “Ready for anything for the buzz anything these people there”, “Irresponsible parents who only think about making money“, “The shame of filming the funeral of his 13-year-old son to make money“, can we read on social networks.
Who is the Bratayley family, behind these images?
This sequence, captured during a live on Instagram, was posted online by the Bratayleys, an American family with no less than 7 million subscribers. The funeral is for their youngest son, Caleb, who died in 2015 from a heart defect as specified seven to eight. On the images recovered by the show, we see that if the community on social networks shares the grief of the family, others do not hesitate to criticize this way of showing everything. “Modern abuse disgusts me”, “The funeral of their son live … We go beyond the framework of indecency there”, “Filming his son’s funeral!? But my god the world is crazy. We should take their children away”, did not fail to comment on other viewers.
