(CercleFinance.com) – Siemens has inaugurated the first Siemens Technology Building Complex (STC) on the Garching research campus, north of Munich, Germany.
The Garching Research Campus is one of the largest centers of science, research and education in all of Europe. It represents an investment of more than 100 million euros in total.
Siemens will consolidate all its research activities in Germany in this center. Initially, around 450 people from Siemens will work on future technologies together with 150 scientists from the Technical University of Munich.
Research and development (R&D) spending increased by around €600 million to around €6.2 billion in the 2023 financial year.
