Italy's ex-head of government Silvio Berlusconi is allowed to return home after his corona infection. He left the clinic in Milan.

Silvio Berlusconi (83) was treated in a hospital in Milan for ten days. The former Italian prime minister had tested positive for the corona virus. On Monday (September 14th) he was allowed to leave the clinic and return home. The 83-year-old spoke in front of the clinic about his Covid 19 disease after his discharge. He called it "the most dangerous test of my life", as reported by the "Corriere della Sera" among others. "I got away with it this time too," said Berlusconi.

The 83-year-old left the hospital in a dark suit and tie and also wore mouth and nose protection. He thanked him for the sympathy that had reached him from all sides. In addition, his thoughts are on the front line with all sick people and the doctors. He appealed to follow the hygiene and distance rules. Berlusconi tested positive for the corona virus on September 2 after a stay in Sardinia. The day after that he had to go to the hospital.
