The list of ingredients for 8 samosas:

  • 1 leek
  • 1 large carrot
  • 4/5 button mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 4 sheets of bricks (cut in 2)
  • a little oil for frying

The recipe steps:

  1. Peel and finely grate a carrot. Take a leek, cut it in half and then slice it finely. Clean your mushrooms using absorbent paper or a clean cloth then cut into brunoise.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat with a drizzle of sesame oil. When it is hot, add the vegetables. Cook them for a few minutes, stirring regularly.
  3. Once your vegetables are tender, pour the sweet soy sauce into the pan. Mix then cook until the sauce evaporates.
  4. Then take a sheet of pastry and cut it in half. Fold the rounded part back on itself. Add a generous tablespoon of stuffing then fold the pastry sheet to obtain a beautiful triangle.
  5. Heat a large frying pan with frying oil and when the oil is simmering, place your samosas in it. Cook for about 2 minutes on one side, then turn them over and let them cook for an additional 2 minutes. This is the technique to ensure that they are nice and crispy. When they are golden brown, place them on absorbent paper.
