Situations where you shouldn't wear makeup

At the gym

We all know this golden shelf, but probably disregard it anyway: we shouldn't wear make-up while exercising. And no, we don't mean a little eyebrow angel or lip balm. Foundation is the culprit here, which brings us impurities straight from hell. Above all, high-coverage foundations prevent sweat from getting through properly. This quickly creates impurities and clogged pores. If foundation, then prefer a light, mineral formulation so that the skin can continue to breathe and, above all, sweat.

With impurities

If a pimple (or several pimples) spreads across the face, we immediately have the need to cover it. The main thing is that nobody sees him! However, our makeup tools also hide bacteria that can make the inflammation worse. It is best not to apply makeup until the inflammation has healed. If there is no other way, make sure that you only use products from the tube or pump dispensers – not from open pots. So everything stays hygienic. It is best to apply the product with your freshly washed fingers.

On long flights

We like to take a nap on a plane – especially on longer flights. What most people do not consider: It is almost as if we were going to bed with makeup. The skin dries out very much on the plane anyway, so you should use the time for a care session. Just put in a cloth mask and take care of your skin as well as possible. She will thank you!

After swimming

Wearing makeup while swimming isn't as bad as many might think. It even creates a kind of barrier between skin and water, which is usually saturated with chlorine and other substances. What is bad for our skin is the mixture of make-up and skin contaminated by the swimming pool. This can lead to irritation and impurities. HELP! That's why you should never put on make-up right after swimming – or really clean your skin afterwards.
