Six qualified for the Spring Finals at the end of the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022

This weekend ended BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022. This event, allowing teams on CS:GO to qualify automatically for the Spring Finals of this 2022 season, allowed 6 teams to qualify: Vitality, Redbull OG, FaZe Clan, but also Natus Vincere, G2 Esports and BIG.

During these Spring Groups 2022, the competition was high at the start of the season. The event first started by a group stage, in which 3 groups were formed. Within group A, we found G2, Complexity, BIG and the Ninjas In Pajamas. In group B, cit was NAVI, MIBR, Astralis and OG who faced off, while in group C, we found Vitality, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid and FaZe Clan. Those are G2, OG and FaZe coming out first in this group stage, with each team having won their group final and advancing directly to the play-in final. Vitality, Ninjas in Pajamas and Astralis come out as the second seed in their group, giving them access to the semi-finals. As for the teams that will have to undergo quarter-finals, these are therefore Complexity, MIBR, NAVI, Liquid, Evil Geniuses and BIG.

During the play-in, MIBR won easily in its quarter-final against Complexity on the score of 2-0. For NAVI, same result, the team winning against Liquid to reach the semi-finals. On the side of BIG, the team still passes these quarter-finals though she still concedes Overpass to the Evil Geniuses. In the semi-finals, Vitality joins MIBR, which bows against the French formation on the score of 2-0. NAVI also gets eliminated by the Ninjas in Pajamas but on the score of 2-1. As for BIG, the formation is essential against Astralis on the score of 2 to 0 to reach the final. In the first final, Vitality wins against G2 on the score of 2-1 to be the first team qualified for the Spring Finals 2022. OG also won 2-1 against Ninjas in Pajamas and finally, FaZe also won against BIG 2-1.

Although these three teams are automatically qualified for the Spring Finals, there are still three places left for the latter that have been attributed to this event. To decide between the remaining teams, the losers of the semi-finals and finals competed in Last Chance Matchs. G2 took on MIBR, winning 2-0 and thus winning his qualification. The training was completed by Natus Vincere, who also wins with a clear 2-0 against the Ninjas in Pajamas. Finally, it’s BIG who comes to close this event winning 2-0 against Astralis.

So we now know the first six qualified for the next Spring Finals. Other teams will also have the opportunity to qualify for this event during the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2022, which will begin on April 20.
