The giants of the graphics card compete in ingenuity so that the balance leans on their side… Still it is necessary that the games exploit these technical innovations.

Little Arlesian of video games, the Skull and Bones from the French Ubisoft was presented for the first time during the E3 2017 in Los Angeles. It was finally announced for a release on November 8, but that’s not the most interesting.

4K, HDR, wide screens, multi-monitor…

Indeed, while its game is based on the Anvil graphics engine designed by its Montreal studio, Ubisoft has found a way that we talk more about the game than about its successive delays: it focuses on the technical aspect.

Thus, Ubisoft explains that the PC version of its game will notably support 4K image definition and HDR while offering, of course, unlimited animation speed and support for wide screens or multimonitor.

More importantly, Ubisoft is stroking the main players in the graphics card market in terms of the compatibility of Skull and Bonesat launch, with supersampling methods from AMD (the FSR), Intel (the XeSS), and NVIDIA (the DLSS).

DLSS vs. FSR vs. XeSS

Probably added at the last moment by Ubisoft, the Intel XeSS is not mentioned in the video above. It mentions, however, the support for ray tracing and the presence of many settings in the game’s graphics options. That’s fortunate.
