Anything goes in fashion and love, right? We wear what we want, how we want it. And yet there are always little things that can ruin even your favorite outfit. These styling mistakes are so easy to avoid.

You’re not paying attention and a total fail has crept into our outfit. And the smallest little things often make the biggest difference in the overall impression. We tell you the five most unnecessary mistakes and how to avoid them.

Five styling mistakes and how to avoid them

1. The underwear is visible

It’s kind of obvious that we’re wearing a skin-colored bra under a white T-shirt. But it’s not just showing through colored underwear that can ruin an outfit, bra straps peeking out and panties showing through pants are just plain annoying. But to be honest, we prefer to wear comfortable cotton panties, don’t we? We can too, as long as we’re careful about what we wear over it. Seamless underwear looks better under tight jeans and we don’t have to worry about the lace falling off the pants. The same goes for bras. T-shirt models without lace and decorations always work, especially under tight tops. Under thick sweaters and transparent blouses, however, we can always reach for the eye-catching lace bra. And please: Watch out for twisted bra straps under tops and t-shirts! Happens faster than we would like and looks really stupid.

2. The right size

We’re not big fans of dress sizes either, but sometimes they do have a reason to be – especially when it comes to fit. So let’s stop squeezing into jeans that are too small just because the size sounds good or wearing oversized clothes that we’re drowning in. We want to wear the pieces that really suit us and flatter our figure. Then you might have to take three sizes with you to the changing room, but you can compare and take the best with you.

3. Badly rolled up sleeves

Especially with shirts and blouses, rolled up sleeves look totally casual and loosen up the outfit. But if they are rolled up badly, they immediately attract attention and make the look uneasy. It’s better to take a few extra minutes, roll down your sleeves and carefully roll them up again. In the best case, they stay tidy all day and we don’t have to worry about them anymore.

4. Crumpled clothes

Another thing that puts even the coolest outfit in the shade: wrinkles and crumpled clothes. And honestly, the reason for this is often our own shame. Unfortunately, there is only one way to avoid this fail. Please don’t cover your ears! We mean ironing, uff! Always takes far too long, but has a huge effect on the whole look. We’ll probably have to lock away the household muffle

5. Dirty shoes

The simplest and fastest fixed bug, and yet it happens to us all the time. There is almost nothing worse than a pair of white sneakers that are no longer white or boots that have half a lawn stuck to the sole. Sneakers can be quickly wiped off with a damp cloth, waterproofing spray ensures that our leather boots stay beautiful for longer. Little effort, huge effect!
