In contrast to the Landrover Defender, Jeeps Wranglers tend to have a niche existence in Overlander circles. Camping extensions with a pop-up roof are only found occasionally. As a getaway vehicle, the Wrangler is therefore only suitable to a limited extent. If you still want to travel or go camping with the iconic off-road vehicle, you have to look around for alternatives, such as a suitable off-road trailer. We have already presented a few models to you here.
The still young company Addax Overland has managed to attract the attention of Jeep with their debut work. The trailer may bear official Jeep branding, although it does not come from the US manufacturer itself. We know something similar from e-bikes with a Jeep logo.

The trailer does not turn the Jeep Wrangler into a luxury motorhome, it is very spartan. In contrast to the Australian Stockman or the Topo Trailer, there is no fixed bed inside the trailer. As with the GOAT trailer, you are dependent on a roof tent, the trailer is primarily used to transport your (camping) equipment. Optionally, the manufacturer installs a pull-out mini kitchen and a refrigerator.
The steel construction and the chassis are designed for tough off-road use. This is matched by the high ground clearance of 43 centimetres. The payload is also impressive at 544 kilograms.
price and availability
Addax Overland presented the trailer at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas in combination with various rooftop tents. The market launch is planned for spring 2023. The price should be around 19,000 euros. We will introduce you to other innovations from the camping world at this point.
