The anti-corona app Luca, behind which there is a whole system, is currently on everyone's lips. Rapper Smudo is also happy about that.
In connection with the corona pandemic, in addition to the new corona resolutions and quick and self-tests, there has been one topic above all for a few days: Luca! In addition to the Berlin start-up neXenio, the Hasso Plattner Institute and the Bundesdruckerei, there is also Smudo (52), Michi Beck (53) on the app, behind which there is a whole system that is supposed to ensure the fastest and most smooth contact tracking possible. , Thomas D (52) and And.Ypsilon (53) from the Fantastic Four ("Popular") involved.
"I'm the press aunt," says Smudo, explaining his role to the news agency spot on news. He has always been that also with the Fantas. "As a computer geek of the 80s, I also have a closeness to the topic and I guess I wasn't so fond of bread soup that I've now become Luca's face. But Luca are all fantasies."
What is Luca doing exactly?
"Luca is a whole system, not just an app," said a spokesman who oversees communication around Luca, recently told spot on news. "The link with the health authorities and the feedback channel for the users are important to us. The health department can use a contact history to inform all people who have been to the same locations and the users immediately receive a message on their mobile phones."
The basic principle is actually simple: a user enters his data once in the app and receives a QR code assigned to his smartphone, which changes every minute. He can use it to check in at a concert location, in a restaurant or at a meeting with friends. The user is automatically checked out again later. A detailed contact diary is created almost automatically.
If an infection now occurs, the user can voluntarily forward the data to an associated health department, which in return can quickly inform contacts at risk. For example, thousands of slips of paper with contact information no longer have to be processed. According to the developers, only the health department should be able to see the data itself, not even the team behind Luca has access. To be able to read out this data, three parts of a key are required – that of the user, that of the host and that of the health department.
Run on the app
Smudo's appearance on "Anne Will" on Sunday led to a real run on the app. "During 'Anne Will' alone, we sent 350,000 certification SMS messages. That shows that people are interested," said the Luca spokesman. One is "really happy about the whole interest". Smudo is also enthusiastic: "That means that 'Luca' is understood as what we see it as: a system that can help us to stop moving from lockdown to lockdown."
But what made Smudo and his bandmates decide to take part? "We are postponing our last year's anniversary tour '30 Years of Die Fantastischen Vier '. We have been looking for solutions as to how software can possibly be used to record the spectators in a stadium in order to play something under pandemic conditions Unfortunately, it then turned out not to be feasible, "explains the rapper.
"But we got to know neXenio, who worked on a compulsory documentary Digi-App, from which we have now developed the Luca system together. The goal is of course that we can again organize concerts that are called 'Show' also earn. " So does Smudo believe that it will actually be possible to go on tour in 2021? "I would like to hope so."
