According to Android Headlinesthe OnePlus 13 should be the first smartphone to benefit from this new chip, while the OnePlus Ace 3V would be entitled to the Snapdragon 7 SoC, in addition to a 1.5K screen, a 5500 mAh battery and fast charging of 100 W.
The information comes from Smart Pikachu, a Chinese leaker considered reliable by Android Headlines. However, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt until Qualcomm and/or OnePlus have made anything official.
As a reminder, the OnePlus 13 could be presented in November or December 2024. The lines can still move between now and then, especially since Xiaomi is used to being the first to announce that its smartphones are equipped with the new Snapdragon chips.
An SoC with its own Oryon cores
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, announced as extremely powerful, would be equipped with its own Oryon cores, but without cores dedicated to energy efficiency like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and its predecessors. It remains to be seen how Qualcomm will manage to reduce energy consumption without these elements.
