Soap opera star Tina O’Brien got involved in a wild brawl. She struck herself.
She actually just wanted to help, but then she apparently struck herself: British actress Tina O’Brien (40) was involved in a fight on Wednesday evening. As the British newspaper “The Sun” reports, O’Brien ran from her home in the suburbs of Manchester to break up a fight between two teenage girls. But then she became part of the brawl herself.
Insider is “shocked” by brawl
A video published by The Sun shows the actress wearing pink sweatpants as she wedges herself with a group of other women. In the clip, O’Brien can be seen grabbing one of the girls, hitting her and putting her in a headlock. “At one point it was three against one: Tina and two other girls against another,” the newspaper quotes an insider. “She threw punches and took a few herself.”
The insider went on to say of the actress, best known for her role in the British soap opera Coronation Street: “If you saw her on TV, you would never think she would get involved in something like that, especially not such a public place.” It was “shocking that she got involved in an argument with 15-year-olds.”
Tina O’Brien has two children
Also shocking for the insider: “You wouldn’t expect an incident like this to happen on this street. It’s a very upscale street in a good area.” Tina O’Brien lives there with her second husband Adam Crofts and their two children. She has been married to him since 2018 and the two have a son born in 2013. The 40-year-old has a daughter from a previous marriage, born in 2008, who is now also an actress.
O’Brien joined the soap Coronation Street in 1999 at the age of 16. She took a break from 2008 and only got back on in 2015.
