Women, as we know, are under-represented in digital professions: only 16% in the sector while they occupy 55% of jobs in the tertiary sector. And the disappearance of maths in the common core of lessons in first and final year in high school – which Emmanuel Macron has promised to correct as soon as the start of the school year in September – does not help by reducing even more the number of baccalaureate graduates who are oriented towards technical courses.
