Stellantis and Renault are no longer the only manufacturers to offer their electric cars through social leasing. After Nissan and Hyundai, it is the turn of the Volkswagen group to announce the arrival of some of its models within this state-subsidized program, during the presentation of its annual results on the French market. .

Four models will soon join the list of electric cars available to eligible French people. “Dealer approvals with the ASP (Services and Payment Agency) are currently being signed”explains Xavier Chardon, chairman of the board of directors of Volkswagen Group France, who hopes that these offers will be effective “At the beginning of next week”relays The Argus.

A Volkswagen e-up! too expensive to seduce

The cheapest model is the Volkswagen e-up! minicity car, which starts at €89 per month through social leasing. Its price is however a little disappointing, since the Renault Twingo E-Tech is for example billed from €40 per month, even if it is clear that its autonomy is less (260 km for the e-up! against 190 km for the Twingo). Above all, the new Citroën ë-C3, larger, starts at €54 per month for a range of more than 300 km.

Please note, the Volkswagen group provides few details. The prices communicated should, however, concern the entry-level versions of each model. It also remains to know the mileage to which these offers correspond.

Volkswagen ID.3 or Cupra Born: two interesting proposals

The group also offers the compact electric Volkswagen ID.3 and Cupra Born, which surprisingly start at the same price of €109 per month. Normally, the Cupra, which displays better finishes and a sportier style, is sold around €5,000 more expensive than its technical cousin.

This duo is inserted between the Nissan Leaf, available at €65 per month with social leasing, but quite aging, and the Citroën ë-C4 and Renault Mégane E-Tech, more modern, but priced from €129 and €150 per month respectively. The two compacts from the Volkswagen group, in particular the Cupra Born, thus provide a fairly interesting intermediate option. The ID.3 and Born also now display a rather generous autonomy from the entry level, with a range of 434 and 426 km respectively.

Skoda Enyaq: the largest electric car in social leasing

The latest electric car to join social leasing is the Skoda Enyaq SUV. Until now, the models offered were more compact, which is linked to the fact that the rent for social leasing cars cannot exceed €150 per month. However, Skoda has managed to offer its 4.65 m long Enyaq at €149 per month. This vehicle becomes one of the rare social leasing offers capable of attracting families with the Renault Kangoo E-Tech, which is much less well positioned.

The Enyaq boasts a range of 401 km, compared to only 285 km for the Kangoo. Its services are also clearly above those of the French leisure space, which is billed at €150 per month. With a range that is not ridiculous and ample space on board, the Skoda Enyaq seems to be one of the best deals in social leasing.
