(CercleFinance.com) – The Institute of Microelectronics, an entity of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A * STAR), and Soitec have announced a research partnership to develop the next generation of semi-electronic devices. silicon carbide (SiC) conductors.
The Sic is intended to power electric vehicles and advanced high voltage electronic devices.
The partners will rely on Soitec’s patented technologies such as Smart CutTM and on IME’s pilot production line to manufacture 200mm diameter SiC substrates.
This research collaboration is planned until mid-2024.
