Arrowhead Game Studios is in the process of concocting something new for Helldivers 2. An addition that had already leaked before and which is as important as the introduction of mechas.
For Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, it is essential to find the right balance between comfort updates and real new features for Helldivers 2. “We want to offer the best and we calibrate our efforts between fixes and new features. It’s easy to say ‘just fix it, don’t add it,’ but the reality is that the competitiveness of this industry means we have to do both to stay relevant.” (via Reddit). A new vehicle for Helldivers 2 has leaked
Like all its competitors, Helldivers 2 needs regular updates. But also events to keep the community in suspense. After the disappearance of the Automatons from Super-Earth, Arrowhead Game Studios brought back the robots who are more angry than ever. A week ago, new free content with weapons and equipment was also released. And it’s “nothing” compared to two beautiful additions that delight the soldiers who fight for freedom and democracy. In recent weeks, a first version of controllable mechas has made its debut in Helldivers 2. Their resistance is somewhat disappointing, but it remains a major novelty in the game which is still very recent.
At a date still unknown, the studio plans to implement another type of car to move and defend itself in Helldivers 2. As with the mechas, the teams are conducting limited tests for the moment. The Web has seen the proliferation of short videos of an armored personnel carrier. A robust machine that can be used by several people and which benefits from external turrets that can be controlled by at least two players.
But a new Helldivers 2 leak now suggests the existence of another variant. The image below, which was datamined and shared by Reddit user IronS1ghts, does not have turrets on top. And this vehicle would even already have a little name: “Colony Rover”. An armored vehicle seen in the environment of certain planets, but which would be playable this time… or not! Indeed, one community theory implies that this might just be a way to escort an NPC on a convoy mission.
