New German NFL hope is called Amon-Ra
The ambitions are huge at Amon-Ra St. Brown. The German-American doesn’t just want to establish himself in the NFL, he also wants to cause a sensation. His brother has already arrived there but is fighting for a contract. The 21-year-old now has to wait to see which team will select him in the draft.
Catching a touchdown pass from the “greatest of all time” – that’s what Amon-Ra St. Brown dreams of before the NFL draft. “There are a lot of good quarterbacks,” said the 21-year-old before the biggest day of his career so far, but if he could choose, the German-American would prefer to play with Tom Brady: “Because he’s the GOAT.” The Greatest Of All Time.

At which position Amon-Ra will be drafted, he cannot exactly estimate. “For me it’s a complete surprise bag. I’ve spoken to 29 teams, that’s good,” he told SPOX and DAZN. His brother, also known as “EQ”, was expected for the third round in 2018, but was only chosen in 207th place. The prognoses at Amon-Ra are much better.
Many experts expect the youngest of the three brothers to be selected in the second or third round. A pick in the top 100 is likely. The earlier the young players are drafted, the more lucrative the four-year contracts on offer – there are differences in the millions.
For Amon-Ra, who will be following the draft together with family and friends in California’s Lake Forest, but of secondary importance. Rather, it would be “a dream” to play together with Brother Equanimeous. As well as catching a touchdown pass from quarterback Brady with the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So two dreams – maybe one of them will come true during the draft.
