Sonic Dream Team announced exclusively on Apple Arcade

Forget Sonic Frontiers, the 3D scene is now Sonic Dream Team and its luminous aesthetic. Dr. Eggman has unearthed the Reverie, an artifact transforming dreams into reality, a clever excuse to take our anthropomorphic heroes through a succession of joyfully colorful scenes. Six playable characters – Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge and Cream – divided into three categories with their own abilities (but not specified in the official press release) will go through 12 levels divided into 4 worlds, not counting the boss fights. Rest assured, the Green Hill Zone will remain in the attic for this episode. SEGA Hardlight claims that the iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and iPad versions will be approximately equivalent in terms of finish.

The game that sells dreams

The apple and the hedgehog have already crossed paths through Hardlight in 2019 with the exclusive Sonic Racing. More incongruous, ChuChu Rocket! Universe, still by Hardlight, had resurrected the little-known Dreamcast classic with a most appropriate colorful aesthetic.

Alas, these nice projects are unlikely to leave the Apple Arcade ghetto any time soon, with Apple taking direct part in their production. Unless the service closes and the need for attractive exclusives is no longer felt, it is therefore unlikely to see a port land in the years to come.

Sonic Dream Team will join Apple Arcade on December 5.
