Spain: The ex-CEO of Zara embarks on film production

MADRID (Reuters) – Pablo Isla, the former chief executive of Spanish clothing giant Inditex, announced on Friday that he would venture into film production to unleash his “deep passion” for films and help develop of Spanish cinema.

Pablo Isla left the owner of the Zara brand in April after spearheading the group’s global expansion for more than a decade, passing the torch to Marta Ortega, daughter of Inditex founder Amancio Ortega.

“I intend to put my business experience at the service of the audiovisual world and, with my deep passion for cinema, to contribute to the development of the flourishing Spanish audiovisual industry”, declares Pablo Isla in a press release. from his production company, Fonte Films.

After leaving Inditex, Isla remained on the board of Nestlé and joined US private equity firm General Atlantic as a global senior advisor.
