HC Davos was actually looking to make amends on Monday evening. The 1: 5 defeat against the ZSC Lions on Sunday was a bitter damper for the team of coach Christian Wohlwend. But in the end, the people of Graubünden had to travel home from Ticino empty-handed.
The guests had a more than successful start to a game with playoff toughness. Matej Stransky took the lead early in just 33 seconds. The Davos team reacted to the immediate equalizer from Giovanni Morini with goals from Kristian Pospisil and Enzo Corvi before the first break.
Lugano turn in the 2nd third
The game experienced its most spectacular phase from the middle of the second third, when the events in the Corner Arena really rolled over. The Graubünden team gave the apparently secure 2-goal lead within 4 minutes. First Calvin Thürkauf caught HCD goalkeeper Sandro Aeschlimann between the legs, then Daniel Carr, who was outnumbered, equalized.

Lugano clarified in the final third
