Speeding offense in Bern: man flashed at 101 km / h on Monbijou bridge

A driver (32) hit the gas in Bern on Saturday – and promptly fell into a speed trap. At around 11:15 p.m., the man races at 101 km / h over the Monbijou bridge in the direction of Eigerplatz. It is way too fast: a maximum of 50 km / h is allowed on the road section in question.

The police patrol stops the speeder and brings him to the station for further clarification, as the canton police in Bern announced on Monday. The 32-year-old has lost his driver’s license and has to answer to the judiciary for a speeding offense. (gin)
