Lost Ark is free-to-play, but in-game purchases are available for supply chests, exclusive pets, Crystalline Aura perks, and more! A whole world is available to players who agree to get their hands on the wallet. However, it is important to clarify that investing in gambling does not give a real advantage in PvP, but rather helps to progress more quickly and allows to have unique skins and/or mounts.

Are available on the Lost Ark store starter packs, which brings players several contents including 30 days of Crystalline Aura. To be precise, the latter gives players with it various advantages, in particular saving time on recoveries as well as on fortresses, but also free use of triports and others.
These packs were very successful and, although the game was completely free to download, sold thousands of copies. The most expensive is the Winner’s Starter Pack, which sells for the low price of 64.99€. Some players have therefore not hesitated to invest crazy sums in order to obtain exclusive content. This is the case of the streamer Shroudwhose expenses run into the thousands of dollars.
Expenses over $2000
Better known as Shroud, Michael Grzesiek is a Canadian YouTuber and streamer, formerly a CS:GO pro player. When Lost Ark was released on North American servers, the streamer described the game as “one of the most boring games he’s ever played”. Since then he has change of opinion and decided to get into the game properly by buying a starter pack…then two, then three, then 10 and so on.
In the video, we see Shroud talking about his expenses on Lost Ark and view their Steam purchase history. “In 2008 and 2009 I had only bought three things in one year, for a total of $100. That’s pretty much how it went every year. And then Lost Ark came along and I spent $100+$100+$100…” he said. He continues by stating “there must be more than $2000 worth of purchases… so much that they timed me off”.
Since February 14, Shroud has been streaming 8 hours of Lost Ark per day minimum. It is clear that the player fell totally in love with the game and as they say, when you love you don’t count!
On the night of March 1-2, 2022, the official Lost Ark Twitter account posted two mysterious GIFs referencing one of the yet undeployed Abyss Raids in-game, Argos, but also one of the Seven Sidereals of ‘Archésia extinct in the South Bern region, Kadan.
