Sports day: basketball player dies of heart attack after corona infection

It's sad news: basketball player Michael Ojo is dead. The 27-year-old collapsed on Friday during individual training and died of a heart attack.

• Now it comes out: He had previously tested positive for the coronavirus. The president of his former club Red Star Belgrade, Nebojsa Covic, told the TV channel Sportklub. He is said to have suffered from chest pain, cough and fever in early July and was then tested.
• Ojo is now to be autopsied, according to the embassy in his home country Nigeria.
• Ojo last played for Belgrade, but his contract had expired and he kept fit privately in Belgrade after the contract ended.
