Rapper Bad Bunny is the artist most streamed on the platform in 2020, according to Spotify.

It's that time again: The streaming provider Spotify ticked the 2020 music year at the beginning of December and reveals: The rapper Bad Bunny (26) from Puerto Rico is the most streamed artist worldwide. With his album "YHLQMDLG" he also delivers the most successful album of the year. The Weeknd (30) landed on number one of the internationally most streamed songs with his song "Blinding Lights". The most streamed artist for the second year in a row is singer-songwriter Billie Eilish (18, "When the Party's Over").

Rap and hip-hop continue to dominate

The picture in Germany is the same as last year: Rap and hip-hop continue to have the streaming charts firmly in their hands. Led by Capital Bra (26, "Berlin lives 2"), the top five of the most streamed artists are all occupied by rap acts. The most streamed album is "Staircase" by Apache 207 (23). The Weeknd also wins the title of the most streamed song in Germany with "Blinding Lights".

The full leaderboards can be viewed in detail at spotify.com/wrapped. And for Spotify listeners, the streaming provider also has a small bonus. In addition to the general top lists, you can also access your personal annual reviews in the mobile app.
