Squeezie wants to be more and more creative. The biggest French Youtuber has decided to join forces with Amazon Prime Video to adapt a horror story written as a “thread” on Twitter into a short film. This short film, entitled “Bleak: who” will be posted on the platform’s Twitter account on October 31, for Halloween.

Amazon Prime Video is testing a new genre: a short film created from a story posted on Twitter. This horror story was not written by just anyone: it was Squeezie, the biggest French Youtuber who took care of it. The platform decided to produce this new format on the occasion of Halloween. It is the adaptation of what is called a thread on Twitter.

The film will keep the principle of the thread

But then, what is it exactly? On this social network, when you publish a public message, a tweet, you are limited to 280 characters. We can’t write more. So, to circumvent this constraint, many users now use a technique that consists of chaining several tweets. Each message responds to the previous one. And to read them all, you have to unroll the messages little by little. This is called a thread.

For more than 4 years, Squeezie has had fun using this technique to tell horror stories. The story is therefore divided since it is limited in number of words. This allows you to play with the suspense, since you read tweet by tweet. And, the Youtubeur has therefore decided to go further in his creativity, by partnering with Amazon Prime Video. The result is a short film, for Twitter too. It will be posted on the platform account. The film will keep the thread principle. That is to say, the short film is cut tweet by tweet, like the original story: it will be posted video by video. It will be October 31, for Halloween, and it’s called Bleak: who.

Note that Squeezie had already adapted these stories on another medium than the tweet: he released a comic a few months ago.
