For their “So easy mitenand” project, Dabu Fantastic brought around 15 well-known Swiss guest voices from Stress to Sina to L Loko & Drini to the stage. Here you can read the live ticker from the showcase.

Dabu Fantastic shared the SRF Live Stage with 14 guest acts on Thursday evening, June 1st. Together they sang revised tracks from the 2022 Dabu album “So easy” at the “SRF 3 Showcase”, which will also be released on Friday, June 2nd in the form of the record “So easy mitenand”.

The photos of the evening

Here are five highlights from this highlight-packed concert evening:

KT Gorique and Nicky B Fly set off fireworks

Only the second song and already the operating temperature rises to the level of ceiling sweat: The Geneva rap rocket KT Gorique and the Zurich R’n’B ballerina Nicky B Fly fire directly from all dance pipes and transform the live stage with “Muet (Madness)”. into a midsummer basement club dance floor – and Dabu likes to play second fiddle for a few minutes.

Dabu demonstrates his yodeling skills

For the TV show “Sing meine Song” Dabu covered “Bärgsee” by Oesch’s die Drei last year – including the yodelling part. When asked about his yodelling skills by SRF-3 presenter Judith Wernli, the band’s namesake says: “I took yodelling lessons, but in the end I was only able to do this one part of this one song a little bit” – and shows what stuck with it.

Pedro Lenz reads in flip-flops

Shortly thereafter, Melanie Oesch from Oesch’s dieTTE is on stage with Dabu Fantastic to perform a new version of “Liebi vorig” enriched with yodelling. The second part of the song entitled “Muure iirisse” belongs to writer Pedro Lenz and his spoken word acrobatics. The Langenthaler is at his best in a T-shirt, jeans – and flip-flops. A legendary move by a renowned artist.

Mattiu sings a different text – and nobody notices

Rhaeto-Romanic sounds nice, of course, but hardly anyone understands it (okay: 50,000 people – but that’s not a lot in relation to that). The Graubünden musician Mattiu takes advantage of this fact and secretly changes his lyrics in the Romanesque “men’s choir and women’s choir” version, as he admits at the end of the showcase: “Instead of the choir, today it was simply about a football club.” “Es u huere rascal!” exclaimed DJ Arts because of this revelation.

And this is how it sounds when Mattiu sings about football clubs:

The whole hall sings “So easy when you’re there”

The crowning glory of the song recital is the acapella performance of “So easy if you’re there” together with the whole Dabu Fantastic Band, all guest voices and around 140 people in the audience – i.e. a choir with around 160 voices. Those who are not completely sure of the lyrics glance at the sheet of lyrics distributed and the rest concentrate entirely on the collective goosebumps.
