Uschi Glas – 1965
On March 2, 1944, Uschi Glas was born in Landau. After graduating from secondary school, she worked as an accountant and secretary and repeatedly sought contact with the film scene. A small role in an Edgar Wallace film enabled her to launch her career in the industry. The Bavarian became known in 1966 with the role of Apanatschi in the Karl May film series “Winnetou and the Half-Blood Apanatschi”. The actress’ absolute breakthrough came in the middle of the wild 1960s as Barbara in the comedy “To the Matter, Sweetheart”. Since then, she has been an integral part of the German TV and film landscape and has had a picture-perfect career as an actress.
