Star Citizen: Sale of ships and liveries to celebrate the Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is celebrated with an in-game scavenger hunt, ship sales, and unique red and gold paint jobs.

Lore around this party

The Lunar New Year is called “RedFestival” in the lore. This annual festivity, which takes place in late January or early February, celebrates the end of a year on the lunar calendar. The festival was known for many centuries but took on a whole new dimension during the expansion period of humanity (2380-2530).

Today, many humans traditionally wear clothing of red and gold color which, according to tradition, bring good luck. The famous red and gold letters containing lucky charms (or simply credits) are exchanged between relatives. According to custom, these letters are concealed and must then be discovered so that fate can bring luck.
