The popular “Star Trek” series “Strange New Worlds” and “Lower Decks” get more seasons. Paramount+ announced this.

Paramount+ has renewed the Star Trek flagship series Strange New Worlds. As the streaming service announced on Twitter, among other things, the show about fan favorite Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount, 50) and the crew of the starship Enterprise, which started in 2022, will also have a third season. In the same breath, Paramount+ announced that the second season of the series will start in Germany and the rest of the world on June 15 this year.

“Star Trek: Lower Decks” also continues

The Star Trek animated comedy series Lower Decks has also been renewed for a fifth season. In addition, Paramount + limited the premiere date for the upcoming fourth season. In “late summer” the new episodes about the much less important adventures of the crew of the USS Cerritos will appear.

Currently, the upcoming fourth season of Lower Decks is expected to air on Amazon Prime Video. But a change to the streaming service Paramount+, which was launched in Germany on December 8 last year, is also possible. The animated “Star Trek” series “Prodigy” will also return next winter with the second season, as Paramount+ has also announced.
